John L. Reno, 63, of New Castle passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by family. He was born August 3, 1958 in New Castle, Indiana.
John was the owner/operator of Reno’s Auto Salvage for 30 plus years. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, racing, and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He loved going to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally every time he could. In teaching life lessons and working on vehicles at the salvage yard, racing, weddings and other events he holds a special place in so many hearts.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Judy Reno; children, Johnny Arthur Reno, Brandy Baxin (Ramon), Shawna Malone (Angy), Casey Beckner; grandchildren, Devin, Brodie, Clayton, Logan, Anthony, Adriana, Ricky and Cody; siblings, Rusty, Barbara, Sherry, Billy, Rob and Tracey; one great aunt; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Reunited in heaven by his children Ricky and Ryan Reno; parents, Dorris Joan Reno (Maw) and Arthur Reno; siblings, Mike, Debbi, Jeff and Julie; grandparents, John and Carry Mae Chesher along with many others.
“If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever”.
A celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Joe Joplin officiating Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn addition. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday and the family requests “Harley gear” be worn if you have it.
