John Douglas Turner, 63, of New Castle passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at his residence. He was born March 24, 1958 in New Castle to Jack and Emma (Clark) Turner.
John was a graduate of New Castle High School and worked at Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis for many years before retiring. In his earlier years, he and his wife, Susan, enjoyed music and attending concerts and also traveling to the beach. Most of all, he loved being a grandpa and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Brooke Loveless, Kylie Swift (Hannah McDonald) of Indianapolis, Jon Tyler (Amy) Turner of Fishers; grandchildren, Isaiah, Blake, Ava, Teagan, Finton, Duncan, Avery, Charleigh and Cole; father, Jack Turner; siblings, James (Barb) Turner, Tony Turner, Kaitlin (Michael) Santoro, Julie (David) York; sister in law, Cathy (Jeff) Shafer; brother in law, Robert (Carol) Hamilton and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan E. Turner in 2017; mother, Emma Turner; grandson, Luke Turner; sisters, Jacqueline Ruth Turner and Sandra Laley.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Batson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
