Johnny Erasmo Castellanos, 26, of Kennard died Friday, June 12, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born May 31, 1983 in Honduras.
Johnny was an extremely friendly person who enjoyed music and video games. He loved spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews, his “Buddiesâ€. Johnny was friends with all who knew him.
Johnny was loved and will be missed by his parents: Karen (husband: Kenneth) Harwood of Kennard; four brothers: David Smith, Jeremy (wife: Jennifer) Harwood, Austin Harwood and Ray Harwood; two nieces: Kylee & Kayla Harwood; one nephew: Drew Harwood; several aunts, uncles and cousins; maternal grandpa and paternal grandma.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Pearl Stephens.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Dillard Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Hicksite Cemetery in Greensboro. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Johnny Castellanos Memorial Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
