Joseph "Joe" McDaniel

Joseph “Joe´ McDaniel, 67, of Carthage passed away on the morning of Saturday October 21, 2023, at his home. He was born in Greenfield, IN on March 9, 1956, to the late Thomas and Irene (Holt) McDaniel.

The greatest joy in Joe’s life was spending time with his grandchildren. Joe loved spending time out in the garden and tinkering in the barn. He also enjoyed going hunting and taking fishing trips in his younger years and being outdoors. Joe worked at Atlas cold storage as a mechanic for many years.

Joe is survived by his wife of 40 years, Vickie McDaniel; children, Jacob (Jessica) McDaniel and Jennifer (David) Dildine; grandchildren, Ariel, Reagan, Mason and Evelyn; sisters, Linda (George) Plopper and Sondra (Judd) Cromer; along with many other extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his sisters, Sheryl Vaughn and Kathy Woods.
