Judith Richmond

Judith A. Richmond, 73, went to be with her Lord on December 28, 2008. Judith was born on May 6, 1935 in Hancock County, to the late Hugh Martin and Hazel Marie (Bramel) Roberts.

Judith is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Gene, of Carthage, whom she married on October 9, 1953 at the Walnut Ridge Friends Church in Carthage. Family blessings also include two daughters: Lisa (husband: Paul) Christenson of Knightstown, and Tena (husband: Butch) Morez, of Fortville; two grandchildren: Jared (wife: Stacy) Buckley of Greenfield and Katie Morez of Fortville; two great-grandchildren: Addison and Dexter Buckley, both of Greenfield. Other survivors include her sister, Beth (husband: John) Goble of Knightsown as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Louis Morez.

Judith was an active member of the Raysville Friends Church. She retired from the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Children’s Home in Knightstown.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Hinsey- Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Michael Sherman officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery near Carthage. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the funeral home. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, or Raysville Friends Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
