Karen Joy Nichols

Karen Joy Nichols, 55, of New Castle, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 07, 2012. She was born March 11, 1957 in Kankakee, Illinois the daughter of the late Theodore Conway and Donna (Walton) Brockman.

The pastor’s wife of New Hope Church in Lewisville, she was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in New Castle. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband: Reverend James R. Nichols; a son: James R. Nichols, Jr. of New Castle; a daughter: Brittany Joy Nichols of New Castle; her step-father: Les Brockman of Greenwood; a sister: Marilyn (Ron) Bell of Greenwood; a brother: Ken (Tammy) Conway of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a mother-in-law: Patricia Nichols of New Castle; two sisters-in-law: Pat Fields and Dr. Rebecca (Dr. Mark) Davisson of New Castle; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be at 7:00 PM Monday, April 9, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Danny Goddard officiating. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 PM prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Karen Nichols Memorial Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
