Karilyn Kay White, 65, of Knightstown, passed away on Monday December 2, 2024, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born on September 2, 1959, to the late Darrell and Marilyn (Strattan) White.
She graduated from New Castle High School in 1978. Karliyn was a 10 year 4-H member and lived for her trips to the Indiana State Fair. She was involved in the Special Olympics and Miracle League of Henry County. Karilyn was a huge Purdue sports fan and an even bigger fan of Kent Benson. She loved singing at the Knightstown Friends Church where she was a lifetime member.
Karilyn loved so many of the people that impacted her life at Indiana Mentor.
She is survived by her siblings, Darlene Decker of Vincennes, Beverly (Jonnie) Dills of Knightstown and Larry (Janet) White of Knightstown; nieces and nephews, Rex (Bobbi) Decker, Ann (Dusty) Hitt, Mark (Valerie) Sloneker, John (Cheryl) Sloneker, David (Kalela Williams) White and Lindsay (Brandon) King; along with many other great nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Steven Decker.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Knightstown Friends Church, 214 E. Brown St, Knightstown. Services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Church with Pastor David Oakes officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel.
