Kathryn Webb

Kathryn Louise Webb, 84, of New Castle passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Henry County Hospital following an extended illness. She was born February 9, 1925 in Plummer, Indiana, a daughter of the late Earl Ellsworth and Verna (Woodall) Jeffers.

Kathryn was a 1943 Spiceland High School graduate. She was a homemaker who enjoyed music, flowers, Christmas and collecting Santa Clause memorabilia. Kathryn was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and helped coordinate the making and delivery of the Sunshine baskets to church members. She was also a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority.

Survivors include two daughters: Rickey S. (husband: Tom) Carr of Brownsburg and Patricia A. (husband: Brad) Schafer of Brownsburg; a son Timothy L. (wife: Patricia) Webb of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandsons: Thomas (wife: Lisa) Carr, III, Ted (wife: Jeanine) Carr, Max Schafer and Michael Webb; four great grandchildren: Ashley, Alex, Madison and Spencer Carr; one brother Thomas (wife: Emma) Jeffers of Cerritos, California; one sister: Mary Jane Teague of New Castle as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Garl B. Webb; four sisters: Lenora Ruth Jeffers, Luella Landrum, Marcela Marie Jeffers and Sue Woodrum; and three brothers: Leslie Philip Jeffers, Elmer Jeffers and William Earl Jeffers.

Funeral Services will take place 11:00AM Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Castle with Reverends Jeffery Gramza and Clark Hobby officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City. Friends may call from 4PM to 8PM Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Memorial contributions may be directed to the IU Cancer Foundation or the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with envelopes available at the funeral home and church.
