Keith Allen Riggs

Keith Allen Riggs, age 51, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. He was born July 21, 1959 in Rushville, Indiana to Keith and Deanna (Green) Riggs.
Keith was currently employed with Roberts Pipeline Construction in Sulphur Springs, Indiana, and had been for the past 22 years. He loved hunting, fishing, playing golf, mushroom hunting and his eight dogs. Keith coached many sports in the Shenandoah school district including 6th, 7th and 8th grade basketball for many years, Little League, high
school softball and Babe Ruth baseball. Keith loved spending time with his family especially playing sports with his children as they grew through the years. In recent years Keith enjoyed spending time with his grandson Caiden.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Wendy (Casstevens) Riggs of New Castle; children, Dustin Riggs (girlfriend, Erin Brewer) of New Castle and Kelsey Riggs (boyfriend, Drew Moore) of New Castle; grandson, Caiden Riggs of New Castle; mother, Deanna Riggs of Shirley; brother, Robin (wife, Rhonda) Riggs of Middletown; several nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Keith Riggs; uncle, Glenn Riggs; aunt, Marlene Sowers; paternal grandparents, Chester and Kathlene Riggs; two cousins, Susanne Wyatt and Glenna Skinner.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Marty Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Shenandoah Dollars for Scholars, 7354 W.
