Kenneth Eugene “Kenny” Stockton, 68, a resident of Cambridge City passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 20, 2024 at his ranch while doing what he loved. He was born October 1, 1956 in New Castle.
Kenny retired from the city of New Castle where he was superintendent of the Waterworks Dept. He had also owned and operated Kenny’s Tree Service and was currently a sub-contractor for the Mt. Summit Water Dept. A rancher, he was a call buyer of livestock. He especially enjoyed hauling livestock and often hauled for the Amish. In addition to ranching, his hobbies also included guns, fishing and horseback riding. Kenny attended the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, and he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife: Cindy Stockton, whom he married March 6, 2012; three children: Sherman (Jaimee) Stockton, Brandy Francisco and Amie (Daniel) Neal, all of New Castle; his mother: Wilma Walters of Straughn; two brothers: Kevin (Nancy) Webb of New Castle and Kelly (Jamie) Goodwin of Arlington, TX; three half-sisters: Tracey (Todd) Burnett, Kristi (Kent) Hall and Cindy (Marty) Hoover, all of Tennessee; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; three step-daughters: Cassie Mahaffey, Aimie (Joe) Stearns and Dorinda Mills, all of New Castle.
He was preceded in death by his father: Freddie S. Stockton.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 27, 2024 at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 9530 E. County Road 400 S., New Castle with Pastor Tim Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the church.
