Kevin J. Horan

Kevin J. Horan, age 61, of New Castle, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born July 25, 1954 in Quebec, Canada son of the late Francis W. and Ruth M. (Euler) Horan.

He was employed at Honda Corporation in Greensburg, and was formerly employed at Goodwin Dodge in New Castle for over 18 years. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Kevin was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed attending car shows and cruise-ins. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He retired from the Lewisville Fire Department and was a 1972 graduate of Chrysler High School.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Dana L. (Neff) Horan of New Castle; five sons, David (Casey) Horan of Stanwood, WA, Daniel (Jaime) Horan of Fishers, Kevin John, II (Cynthia) Horan of Camby, IN Evan (Anna) Lyall of Anderson and Aaron Lyall of New Castle; eleven grandchildren, Alexander, Chloe, Emma, Kaylie, Kendall, Brady, Paige, Luke, Amaris, Aeris, and Finnick; siblings, Michael Horan (companion, Sandy) of Waukesha, WI and Timothy (Susan) Horan of Indianapolis, Patia (Sammy) Tolle of Homerville, GA, Christopher Horan (partner, Nick) of New Castle and Michele (Richard) Bohling of Bedford; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Joe Rautenberg officiating. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday, February 12 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. A Memorial Service will immediately follow with Deacon Russ Woodard officiating. Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, near Greensburg, at a later date.
