Larry Cox II

Larry D. Cox II, 52 of New Castle passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from complications of a stroke he suffered a week prior. He was born July 12, 1971 in New Castle, IN to Larry D. and Mary Louise (Catron) Cox.

Larry was an auto mechanic and loved working on cars. He enjoyed biking and canoeing. Larry was a very giving person, even after death he was an organ donor. He was a servant and had a giving heart. He was always willing to help those in need, especially with automobile problems. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. To know Larry was to love him.

He is survived by his parents, Larry and Mary Louise Cox of New Castle; a sister, Stephanie L. Alexander of New Castle; a niece, Jada Alexander; a great nephew, Joshua Mateo Garcia; aunts and uncles, Bill (Maureen) Catron, Jackie Criss, Carolyn Thurman, Edna (Jim) Baum, Nevalee Stines, Hilda (Horace) Dalton and Jerry (Marge) Cox; several cousins and many lifelong friends; Aunt Sheila (Kenneth, deceased) Cox of New Castle.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastors Jim Becker and Shelly Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.  A visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
