Launa Rae Fox, beloved daughter of Kelsey Curtis and Juanita (Hicks) Parker passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Henry Community Health. Born on April 8, 1956, in New Castle, Launa dedicated her life to caring for others as a CNA in various nursing facilities.
She was a graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and Ivy Tech in Muncie. Launa had a passion for riding her motorcycle, painting, music, cooking and traveling. She also enjoyed auto racing and visiting casinos. She loved to fuss and cuss with her family and cherished the companionship of her beloved dogs, Lloyd and Gomez. Launa’s warmth, humor, and zest for life will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include a son: Euing (Angel) Clark of Jeffersonville, KY; two grandsons: Jeb Clark and Justin Miller; many nieces and nephews including Opal (Roy) Hall of Hazel Green, KY and Sheri Thompkins of New Castle; several cousins including Nancy Brugh of Logansport; “adopted” sisters: Wanda White and Mary Holcomb; “adopted” children: Paige Holcomb, David Holcomb and Brooke Holcomb and her boyfriend: Billy Eugene Hamby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Fox, a brother, Jeffrey Parker, sisters, Linda K. Wilkinson, Opal Pack and Deborah Riley, and cousin, Bobby Eugene Hicks.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2025, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Phil Miles officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Launa Rae Fox Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
