Lauretta Gulley, age 99, of Morris, Illinois and formerly of New Castle passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 24, 1913 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Otis A. and Helen Josephine (Geary) White.
Lauretta loved to sew and was quite the artist. She was married to Mefford Ira Gulley for 52 years.
Lauretta is survived by two sons: Walter Charles and John Richard Gulley; a daughter: Helen Marie Gulley (husband: Scott) Barbauld; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; her sister: Ulricka White Crater of Papillon, NE; niece: Audrey Sue McKinney; and a nephew: Johnathan (wife: Diana) Doyle.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989 and her daughter: Shirley Josephine Gulley Rummel in 1985.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
