Lawrence Kraus, 66, of Knightstown, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at his residence. He was born May 27, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of Ronald and Barbara (Butcher) Kraus.
Lawrence retired as a car hauler for Jack Cooper Auto Company in 2016 following 36 years with Teamsters. He was a member of American Legion Post 152 in Knightstown. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving as a military policeman. He loved grilling out.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jean Lanning Kraus, whom he married November 21, 2001; two children, Ronald Kraus of Dearborn Heights, MI and Rhonda Kraus of Lincoln Park, MI; two grandchildren, Colin Benford and Jacquelyn Kraus; mother, Barbara Kraus of Livonia, MI; brothers, Lou (Trish) Kraus of Ann Arbor, MI and Mike Kraus of Livonia, MI; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and his first wife, Jacqueline A. Kraus.
There will be no public services held. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Brownstown, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Condolences and memories of Lawrence may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com .
