Leah Rae Snowden, 81, of Knightstown, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 at her residence. She was born January 19, 1943 in Olney, Illinois the daughter of James Thomas and Margy Ellen (Lytle) Farmer.

 Leah graduated from Ben Davis High school in 1961 and worked at Bostich. She was a foster parent for several years, bookkeeper for her husband and wrote a song called “This Man” which was very popular in Nashville. She loved singing and writing music. Leah also loved to bake cobblers, make noodles, and canning. She enjoyed reading, Bible reading, doing crafts, making flower arrangements, taking care of her outdoor flowers and she never knew a stray dog.

 Leah is survived by daughters, Lisa Harwood (Walter Alfonso), and Rebecca Orr; son, Norman (Amber) Snowden, Jr.; grandchildren, Danny, Austin, Brianna, Barrett and Everett; great grandchildren, Hayden, Maci and Lorelai; sister, Frankie Conover; and brother, Tom Farmer.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Norman Snowden, Sr.; brother, Fred Farmer; and son-in-law, Shawn Orr.

 There will be no public services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Condolences and memories of Leah may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com.
