Lena M. Caudill, 88, of Knightstown, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 11, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born September 3, 1922 in Morehead, KY the daughter of the late Walter and Nancy (Jackson) Goodwin.
She was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Knightstown. Lena was a member of Faith Chapel Church in Knightstown.
She is survived by a daughter: Mary (husband: William) Klare of Shelbyville; a son: James (wife: Margo) Caudill of Shelbyville; daughter-in-law: Sandy Caudill of CA; grandchildren: Melissa Tucker, Amanda Gillilan, Margaret Bolding, Megan Klare, Kimberly Kraeszig, Christina Caudill; 5 great-grandchildren: Kristin Leffler, Mariah Tucker, Mallory Bolding, Abigayle Bolding, Gabriel Klare, Joseph Kraeszig and McKinley Kraeszig; 2 sisters: Dessie Morgan of Markleville and Goldie Jackson of Knightstown; a brother: Dude Goodwin of Knightstown; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: William “Les” Caudill, Sr., and a son: William Caudill, Jr.; a sister: Grace Thompson; two brothers: Oral and George Goodwin.
Services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Chapel Church, 359 E. Morgan St. Knightstown, IN 46148.
