Lenora Lee Brown

Lenora Lee Brown, 69, of Mooreland went to be with the Lord, at her residence on February 27, 2011. She was born on August 15, 1941 in Henry County to the late Lloyd M. and Helen (Vanlandingham) Hagy.
Lenora was a 1959 graduate of Mooreland High School. Following high school Lenora went to work as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Muncie. Later she was employed by Magna Machine and Tool in New Castle as the office manager before retiring with 28 years of service. Lenora was a member of the Mooreland Free Fair Board, Blue River Township Advisory Board and most importantly a member of the Mooreland Friends Church. She was an avid fan of Blue River Valley sports, Butler, and Indiana basketball. Her love for people prompted her to send cards to family members and friends on all occasions.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years: Jerry Lee Brown of Mooreland; daughter: Jodie Brown of Mooreland; son: Todd (wife: Mysia) Brown of Mooreland; daughter: Kellie (husband: Joe) Freeman of Greenfield; three grandsons: Devon Brown of Mooreland; Dylan Freeman of Greenfield; and Noah Brown of Mooreland; granddaughter: Tessa Freeman of Greenfield; sister: Sue (husband: Charlie) Kirklin of Blountsville; brother: Mike (wife: Belinda) Hagy of Losantville; sister-in-law: Donna (husband: Robert) Antic of New Castle; brother-in-law: Milton (wife: Linda) Brown of Mooreland; special cousin: Nancy (husband: Kay) Miller of New Castle; also several nieces and nephews.
Lenora was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Mooreland Friends Church with Jim Shock and Mark Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Mooreland Volunteer Fire Dept. or the Mooreland Friends Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
