Lillian R. Harris, 97, of Lafayette died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at her residence. She was born January 28, 1913 in Albany Kentucky, a daughter of the late John and Maggie May (Marcum) Clark.
She had lived in New Castle for approximately 30 years, then lived in Columbus, Indiana most of her life. She was a member of the Garden Club in Columbus and First Christian Church also in Columbus. Lillian worked for many years in the cafeteria in Northside Jr. High School in Columbus. She enjoyed flower gardening and sewing doll clothes. She currently resided at Rosewalk Commons Assisted Living Community in Lafayette.
Survivors include a sister: Jewel Brown of New Castle; two granddaughters: Connie (husband: Steve) Han of Brookston, Indiana and Cindy Perdue of Lafayette; four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; nieces & nephews: Sandy Holland of Indianapolis, Wanda Dingwall of Las Vegas, Nevada, Phil Ray of Denver, Colorado, Ray Grunden of Indianapolis, Jeannine Huckleberry of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kevin Fant of Indianapolis, Mike Fant of California; Duane Fant of Indianapolis and Gordon Clark of Oregon.
She was preceded in death by husbands: Lonnie Crum, Bob York and Carl Harris; son: David Crum; two brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition with Reverend Dennis Hilton officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Attn: Memorial/Tribute Processing Center, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, Il 60674.
