Linda L. Davis, 64, a resident of New Castle passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born August 22, 1948 in New Castle and was a daughter of the late Bernard and Doris (Crabtree) Stacey.
Linda attended New Castle Chrysler High School and had been employed as a baker at Meijers in Ohio and previously at Jack’s Donuts in New Castle. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved to bake, read the Bible and crochet.
Survivors include five children: Shelli Hubbard, Vicki Taylor, Tony Taylor, Ginger Schultz and Audra Schultz; six grandchildren; three brothers and sisters: Gayle Curran, David Pyle and Sam “Dorisa” South; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Dale Pyle and a sister: Nora Stacey.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012 in South Mound Cemetery in New Castle. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 4567 Progress Drive, Columbus, IN 47201.
