Linda L. Madison, 59, of Mooreland, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 in Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born October 7, 1952 in Shelbyville, IN a daughter of Ermel and Norma (Walton) Bennett of New Castle, who survive.
She had been employed as Clerk/Treasurer for the town of Mooreland. She was previously employed at First Merchants Bank and also at Safe-At-Home. She enjoyed reading, baseball, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband and best friend, Terry W. Madison, whom she married October 23, 1971; three children, Lisa Madison of Mooreland, Randy (Sarah) Madison of Mt. Summit, April (Alan) Kemper of Alexandria; seven grandchildren, Dakota, Emilee, Brent, Tyler, Trevor, Maci, Madison and baby Kemper. Also, her siblings, Diana New, Jackie Bennett, and Pam (Steve) Ramsey, all of New Castle, Wayne (Kittie) Bennett of Ohio, and Kim (Allan) Pierce of Spiceland; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Paul Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Henry County Cancer Society, 1909 Walnut St., New Castle, IN 47362.
