Lisa S. Alcorn

Lisa S. Alcorn, 43, of New Castle passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 28, 2016. She was born September 14, 1973 in Indianapolis to the late Millard N. and Susan McDonald.

Lisa is a 1993 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. She enjoyed photography and spending time with her friends and family. Lisa has been employed at Walmart since 2003 and is well known to the many customers who visited the photo center and surrounding departments. She also enjoyed shopping with her daughter and always cherished their time together, whatever the activity might have been. She has been associated with Foursquare Gospel Church for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Kyleigh Alcorn; Kyleigh's father, Travis Alcorn; mother and father in law (Mom & Dad), Velda and Jim Alcorn; brother, Bill (Mary) McDonald all of New Castle; a nephew and a niece; special friends, Anita Current, Ceil Martin, Chad Bever; and many acquaintances.

As a family, we were blessed to have such a caring and compassionate person in our lives. Lisa will be greatly missed by each of us, and a host of others who were touched by her kindness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Jim Becker officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 3 at the funeral home.
