Lois M. Smith, 90, of Knightstown, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at her daughter’s residence in Knightstown. She was born October 14, 1919 in Russell Springs, KY the daughter of William and Effie Jane (Bennett) Bunch.

She attended the Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, cooking, country music and garage sales. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Lois leaves to cherish her memory her children: James (wife: Evelyn) Smith of Franklin, Mary Jones of Knightstown, Mildred (husband: James) White of Spiceland, Carl (wife: Irene) Smith of Indianapolis, Robert (wife: Sharon) Smith of Syracuse, Allen (wife: Sue) Smith of Carthage, David (wife: Patty) Smith of Knightstown; a sister: Mildred Carnes of Bluffton; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special thanks to a wonderful caregiver, Norman Carroll.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Fred Smith; five daughters, four sons, four brothers and two sisters.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday, January 29, 2010.
