Lois M. Strauch, 94, of New Castle, passed away Monday, November 11, 2019 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. She was born June 10, 1925 in Greensboro, Indiana, a daughter of the late William B. and Amy M. (Mann) Garner.
She retired from Modernfold Industries after 34 ½ years of service. Lois was a member of Greensboro Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and was church treasurer for many years. She was a member of Big Brothers, Big Sisters and was a Girl Scout Leader.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan (Eddie) Troxell of New Castle and Gaynelle Zaiger of Daphne, Alabama; five grandchildren, Emily (Jake) McGahee of Clarkesville, Georgia, Alexandra (Forest) Bender of Indianapolis, Nicholas (Kristin) Zaiger of Bremerton, Washington, William Zaiger of Bozeman, Montana and Rachael Zaiger of Noblesville; two great grandsons, Joseph & Mitchell McGahee of Clarkesville, Georgia; and a special niece, Norma (Gale) Tarr of New Castle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Strauch; two sisters and two brothers.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Donnie Pyle officiating. Burial will follow at Hicksite Cemetery in Greensboro.
