Louise Gross Smith

Louise Gross Smith passed away Dec 20, 2024 . She was born September 25th, 1931 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Clarence and Hattie (Anderson) Gross. 

She retired from Indiana Knitware, Greenfield after working there for 30 years. She worked as a foster grandparent at Knightstown Headstart in her later years.

She was the mother of Carolyn (Dale) Manning of Greensboro, she had a step son, Jimmy Smith of Richmond. She has 3 grandchildren, Gressa Riggs (Steven Penrose), Jason Manning (Nikki), Melissa Manning. She had 9 great grandchildren, Noah Riggs (Sydney), Cole Manning, Abigail Manning, Bailey Butcher, Madeline Manning, Robbie Smith, Jamie Hay, Cooper Penrose and Lauren Penrose.

She has two brothers Ronald Gross and Lonnie Reger (Sandra), a sister Connie Schuyler and lots of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marsh Joan Sweet; her step-father; Gilbert Reger; two brothers, Raymond Gross, Berlin Gross and Jerry Reger; sister Marsha Joan Reger and two sister-in-laws, Darlene Gross and Bonnie Gross, and brother-in-law Stephen Schuyler.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
