Louise Upham, age 91, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center in New Castle. She was born November 30, 1917 in Henry County, Indiana to the late William “Billy†and Mary Louise Upham.
She retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force base in Dayton, Ohio following 35 years of service. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in New Castle and was a Sunday school teacher. Louise enjoyed art and writing poetry.
Survivors include a nephew: Ronald (wife: Anne) Caulk, Sr. of Cocoa FL; a great nephew: Ronald Caulk, Jr. (companion: Amee Cox) of Muncie; great nieces: Angie Caulk and Millie (husband: Rick) Holcomb both of New Castle ; other great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: William Upham, Jr.; a sister: Thelma Alice Caulk.
Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Melvin Mozingo officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-3 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
