Lova M. Ferguson Wright, 76, of Indianapolis, formerly of New Castle, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 5, 2015 following a brief illness. Born Lova Madine Garner in Burkesville, KY, she moved to Indiana at age 24 when she married Billy Ferguson. Together they raised four daughters. Most people didn’t know her as Lova. Her family knew her as Madine, but was known by her husband and friends as Nadine. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy G. Ferguson in December, 1994. She was then married to Herbert Hall Wright on April 17, 2005, and they resided in Indianapolis.
She had been employed at Philco Ford, Diamond Containers, and Riverside Manufacturing, from where she retired. She then had worked at Raintree Square as a companion/caregiver. She enjoyed spending time with family and her dog, Babee. She loved reading her Bible and going to church. Keeping her family close was always important to her.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Herbert Hall Wright of Indianapolis; daughters, Gena (David) Barker, Tammy Carnes, Sandy Fort, and Shelly Ferguson, all of New Castle; grandchildren, Lindsay Pippin, Danica (Brett) Kendall, Sean Fort, Kacie (Chase) Houser, David Justin Barker, Kayla (Chris) Wallace, Devra Barker, Jacob Runion, and Bailey Barker; great grandchildren, Brenna Pippin, Brooklyn Barker, Bayden Kendall, Brycen Houser, Bristyn Barker, and Maddox Wallace; a sister, Nona Riddle of Glasgow, KY; a brother, Billy Garner of Burkesville, KY; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Leslie Garner, Odell Garner, Roy Garner, Milburn Garner; sisters, Abbie Capps and Noxie Riddle.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with the Rev. Gene Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition.
