F. Lyla McDonald, 76, of Knightstown died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at her residence. She was born September 14th, 1936 in Syracuse, Kansas.
Lyla was a member of Southside Church of the Nazarene in New Castle and most recently attended Greensboro Church of the Nazarene. Lyla retired from Americana bank in Knightstown after many years of service.
Lyla was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband John McDonald, her parents, Walter Isaac Scott and Willa K. Scott, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include two sisters: Twila Scott Whitcanack of Kansas City, Missouri, Pauline Chase of Parma, Idaho, and a brother: Delbert Ray Scott of Parma, Idaho; a step-daughter, Barbara Hepfner of New Jersey; two step-granddaughters: Amy Sisler of Pennsylvania and Rebecca Hepfner of New Jersey; a sister-in-law, Delene Isenberg of Knightstown; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown. The Reverend David Perry will be officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery.
