Lyn Meriah Cedras, 29, of Mooreland, passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2024. She was born on September 21, 1994, in New Castle, IN the beloved daughter of Petrina Cross, Jim Rhoads and Tim Cross.
Lyn's greatest joy and goal in life was being a mother; she loved her two boys with her whole heart, and they were her world. She was a 2013 graduate of Blue River High School and was currently employed at Henry County Community Health as a medical assistant.
Lyn had a kind heart, her radiant smile could brighten anyone's day and had a genuine love for people, especially children. Even before having her own, she was known for her remarkable ability to connect with children, particularly those with disabilities.
Lyn was a spirited country girl who cherished the simple joys of life such as tractor pulls, shooting, and Mud Bogs. Despite her love for the outdoors, she also had a flair for dressing up and embracing her feminine side. Dancing was another passion of hers, and she was always ready to move to the rhythm.
Lyn is survived by her husband, Roland Cedras and their two boys, Robert Hunter and Brandon Odin all of Springport; mother, Petrina Cross of Mooreland; father, Jim (Tracy) Rhoads of Anderson; step father, Tim Cross of New Castle; grandparents, Nancy (Ron) Rhoads Clock of Leavenworth, KS, Betty Gard of Muncie and Terry (Linda) Cross of Mt. Summit; siblings, Ashley Morton, Jared Cross and Tiffany Cain all of Bluffton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
Lyn was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Marvin Rhoads, Buck Gard and Tom Ogden.
Services will be held at 11:00am Monday, August 5, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Ronn Oren officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery.
