Maggie A. Goolsby

Maggie A. Goolsby, 95, of New Castle, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. She was born March 11, 1917 in White County, TN the daughter of Martin Luther and Emma Jane (Hawkins) Haney.
She was a member of the Church of Christ on Road 200 N. New Castle. She loved quilting.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter: Linda Baker of New Castle; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; a sister: Frances Bumbalough of Muncie; brother-in-law: Everett Goolsby of Blountsville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years: Clyde Goolsby; son: Jimmie Clay Goolsby; daughter: Janice Blake; 3 brothers and 5 sisters; a great-great grandson: Jaylen Mikel Sexton.
Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 31 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Brother Phil Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Blountsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
