Marcella Wood

Marcella “Marcy” Wood, 86, of New Castle passed away March 11, 2025, at Addison Place. Marcy was born to Harvey and Mary E. (Dalton) Smith February 19, 1939, in Carthage IN. She was one of six children.

Marcy retired from Henry County Hospital after 21 years of service. She was married to her best friend, John Wood. They were married in 1986 and had 32 wonderful years together until he passed in 2018. Marcy and John loved traveling once they were both retired. She loved fishing, working in the yard and planting flowers. She was a terrific, caring and loving person. Marcy loved her kids, grandkids and a very special niece Lianna.

Marcy left to cherish her memory her son, Randy (Robin) Buck of Springport; stepdaughter, Kimberly Schoeff of fishers; grandchildren; Adam Buck of Greenfield, Tiffany Buck of Springport, Autumn Buck of Las Vegas and Kasey Schoeff and Lyndsey Schoeff of Fishers; several great and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband John Wood; son, Gerald Buck; stepson, Kenny Wood; brother, Sam; sisters, Helen, Nancy, Mary Lou and Rosie; brother-in-law, Chuck Wood; father-in-law, Charles E. Wood; mother-in-law, Grace E. Wood.
