Margie Elizabeth Warner

Margie Elizabeth Warner, 90, of New Castle, passed away Monday, April 02, 2012, at Henry County Hospital. She was born December 8, 1921 in Graves County, KY, a daughter of Andrew and Artie Goins.

Margie was a member of the Four Square Gospel Church and was a fantastic quilter. She was an avid bowler and a member of the 600 Club. She loved her dogs, especially her most recent yorkie: “Tyler”. Margie loved traveling, shopping, camping, and redecorating her home. She was a very generous and kind person who never knew a stranger. She especially loved her grandchildren. She had resided at the Addison House since July and thoroughly enjoyed the residents and staff.

She is survived by her children: Carmel Jean (Ron) Mettert of Tipp City, OH, Marjorie (Frank) Patterson of Anderson, Donna L. (Mike) Heim of New Castle; grandchildren: Dr. Jon Mettert of Johnson City, TN, Julie Mettert-Vann of Fairborn, OH, Jodi Driver of Union, OH, Cheryl (Rick) Hines of Middletown, Ginger L. White of Middletown, Andrea M. (Dan) Ratcliff of Carmel, Brad (Diana) Gentry of New Castle, Bryan (Traci) Gentry of Spiceland, Michael Heim (companion: Becca Rust) of New Castle; 14 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Virgil H. Warner; two brothers; three sisters; granddaughter: Ronda Lynn Mettert; great grandson: James Gorman.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Jim Becker officiating. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
