Mariam “Jane” Farringer, 86, of Spiceland, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 26, 1929 in Carthage the daughter of William and LaVaughn (Graff) Freeman.
Jane was a volunteer at Henry County Pregnancy Care Center. She was a member of Raleigh and Dunreith Christian Churches and had attended Smyrna Baptist Church in Spiceland.
She is survived by two daughters, Melanie (Russell) Hunt of Spiceland and Brenda Murphy of Anderson; grandchildren, Rusty Hunt, Bradley Fox, Matthew Hunt, Charlie Hunt, Shawn Murphy and Ellie Slack; and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Farringer; brothers, Harold, William and Joe Freeman; sisters, Marge Maynard and Millie Dinterman; grandson, Brian Robert Fox.
Services will be at 3:00 PM Monday, October 19, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Larry Delon officiating. Burial will follow in Raleigh Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-3 PM prior to the service.
