Mariellen Bell Miller

June 27, 1958 — January 14, 2016

Mariellen Bell Miller, 57, of Mooreland passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 27, 1958 in New Castle, a daughter of Myron and Phyllis (Bowman) Bell.

She was married July 18, 1976 to Bradley Jay Miller at White Branch Church of the Brethren. She was a 1976 graduate of Hagerstown High School and a 1992 graduate of the School of Nursing at IU East. A registered nurse for 23 years, she retired from Henry County Hospital. She was also co-owner of Miller Bison Farms of Mooreland. Mariellen was a deaconess of the White Branch Church of the Brethren. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, and feeding the birds.

Survivors include her parents of Hagerstown; her husband, Brad Miller of Mooreland; three children, Karen (Brian) Mackie of Hagerstown, Daniel (Ashley) Miller of Hagerstown, and Andrew (Jenny) Miller of Southport; grandchildren, Brookley, Haven, Adelaide, & Brayden Miller, Peter, Saida, & Asher Mackie; siblings, Chuck (Jennifer) Bell of Mount Summit, Rex (Susan) Bell, Julianne (Greg) Stout, Ross (Stephanie) Bell, Jeanna (Jeff) Stout all of Hagerstown, David (Jen) Bell of Kitengela, Kenya, East Africa, and Trecia (Rob) Carpenter of Cincinnati, Ohio; parents-in-law, Charles and Marilyn Miller of Hagerstown, two sisters-in-law, Brenda (Larry) Austin and Bonnie (Dave) Miller, both of Hagerstown, many nieces & nephews and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin Mackie.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the White Branch Church of the Brethren with Pastors Brian Mackie and Chuck Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
