Marilyn Sue McKechnie

On November 12, 2023, our loving Lord welcomed home Marilyn Sue McKechnie, age 88 of Grapevine, Texas. She was born on October 29, 1935 in Campbellsburg, Indiana to Robert & Wilma Matlock Wade.
Marilyn grew up in New Castle, Indiana and graduated from Spiceland High School. In 1954 she married a fun and handsome fellow, William David McKechnie who preceded her in death in 2006.
Surviving are four children born to this union: Michele McKechnie, Kelly, Hull (Brady), Jean Kay Bond and Jon McKechnie. Also surviving is her sister: Lee Ann Wallen (Kevin), grandchildren: Weston (Hannah) Hull, Haylor, Hull, Paige (Eric) Pham, Anna Grace Bond, Easton McKechnie and great-grandchild: Perry Wade Hull.
Marilyn worked several years in the radiology department of Henry County Hospital as well as Scotten and Hinshaw Law Offices before moving to Texas. She was never one to pass on garage sales, antique stores, historical markers or museums. She was a master gardener, home decorator and a wonderful cook, especially her fudge.
Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service will facilitate a private burial at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle, Indiana. A private celebration of life will follow.
