Marilyn Jo (Clements) Rigney, age 86, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Heritage House in New Castle. She was born August 13, 1927 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Carl and Maude (Miller) Clements.
She had lived in Oklahoma for 24 years prior to moving to New Castle. She was a member of Open Arms Church and was elected Heritage House Queen for 2014. Marilyn enjoyed playing euchre, watching sports, collecting Precious Moments figurines and spending time with her family.
Survivors include three children, Beverly Davidson of New Castle, Robert E. Thurman, Jr. of Texas and Larry D. Thurman of Anderson; eight grandchildren, Bobbie York, Angie (Rick) Davis, Tracy (Allen) Johnson, Stacey Thurman, Brandy (David) Huffman, Sunnie (Chris) Youtsey, Nikki Davis and Jaime Thurman (fiancé, Dusty); great grandchildren, Skylar, Jordan, Jeremiah, Chanlar, Jillian, Corbin, Samantha, Morgan, Jared, Caleb, Grant; great-great granddaughter, Nova Starr; sister, Betty Priest of OK; brother, Carl “Bud” (Paula) Clements of GA; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Thurman; brothers, Gene Clements and Claris Clements; a sister, Sue Cutright.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Rick Davis officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition.
