Marjorie Y. Ferrell, age 76, of New Castle, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Henry County Hospital. She was born January 1, 1936 in Union City, Ohio to the late William and Flossie (Cropper) Teeter.
A homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed being a teacher’s aide at Sonshine Preschool at Memorial Baptist Church in New Castle where she was a member for over 20 years. She had worked at Hardys in Ohio, a manufacturing plant. She enjoyed family dinners and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Marjorie loved fishing, cooking, canning and preserving fruits and vegetables from her garden. She also enjoyed Colts football and watching the Amazing Race on TV. She loved her pets and used to raise Fox Terriers. Marjorie was also very good with a rifle.
Survivors include three sons, Bruce Michael (wife, Linda) Dillon of West Sun City, AZ, Timothy Joseph (wife, Donna) Dillon of New Castle and George Everett Jr. (wife, Debra) Ferrell of New Castle; grandchildren, Lorinda (husband, Scott) Fields of Troupe TX, Michael (wife, Shannon) Dillon of Troupe, TX, Timothy (wife, Amanda) Dillon of New Castle, Nannette (husband, Craig) Howard of New Castle, and Hannah Ferrell of New Castle; great grandchildren, Whittany and Brittany Fields, Hayden and Ashton Dillon, Gage Dillon, Aubrey Dillon, Leah Foster, Gavin Howard, Skylie Howard; great-great grandson, Racyn Fields; a sister, Dolly (husband, Kenny) Green of Greenville, OH; two brothers, David (wife, Virginia) Teeter of FL and Carl Teeter of Union City, OH; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Ferrell, Sr; daughter-in-law, Brenda Ferrell; a granddaughter, Shonna Lynn Dillon; two brothers, William Teeter and Jim Teeter; a sister, Hazel Bradburn.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Memorial Baptist Church in New Castle with Pastors Tobby Smith and John Tyner officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
