Marjorie Norris, age 83, of New Castle, passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born July 21, 1927 in Slickford, Kentucky to the late Tom and Erne (Marsh) Smith.
She retired in 1993 from Brooks Foods in Mt. Summit following 32 years of service. Marjorie had attended South Side Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include two sons, Jim (wife, Geneva) Morrow, Dan (wife, Robbie) Morrow; two daughters, Kathy (husband, Rick) Luellen and Leesa (husband, Tommy) Tweedy all of New Castle; four stepsons, Ted (wife, Lin) Norris of Springport, Tom (wife, Lori) Norris of Springport, Tod (wife, Cindy) Norris of Mt. Summit and Tab (wife, Laura) Norris of Carrollton, GA; nine grandchildren; eleven step grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; two brothers, Willard (wife, Lorraine) Smith of Owensboro, KY, Knox (wife, Bonnie) Smith of Losantville; three sisters, Norma (husband, Harold) Buck of New Mexico, Wanda Paxton of FL and Aleta Shoola of Chicago; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ottis Morrow, second husband, Joe Norris; a son, Tommy Joe Smith; stepson, Tim Norris; and step great grandson, Matt Norris.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Michael Dees officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
