Marjorie E. Walker, 88, of Knightstown, passed away after a great long life Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Rush Memorial Hospital. She was born October 8, 1922 in Shelby County the daughter of Raymond and Bertha (Shaw) Trimble.

Marjorie graduated from Charlottesville High School in 1940. She worked as Cafeteria Manager at the Knightstown Elementary School from which she retired. She was a member of the Knightstown Christian Church, Jolly Workers Home Ec Club and a life member of the VFW in New Castle. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter: Barbara Smith of Rushville; a son: Ronald (wife, Debra) Walker of Anderson; grandchildren: Tim (wife, Jennifer) Walker of Indianapolis Tina (husband, Brett) Steffey of Fishers, Ronald Walker, Jr. of Greenfield; Stephen Walker of Speedway, and Amber (husband, Derrick) Nuffer of Greenfield; three step grandchildren: Mary Ann Boone of Anderson, Jill Liter of Indianapolis, Jason O’Conner of Navarro, FL; 10 great grandchildren;3 great-great grandchildren; a sister: Ada Mae Gross of Momence, IL; brother-in-law: Ted (wife, Mamie) Fish of Fortville; several nieces and nephews; special friends: Maxine and Wendell Clark and family of Knightstown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years: Paul Walker; 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Richard Thayer officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knightstown Christian Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
