Mary Kathleen Bever

Mary Kathleen Bever, 82, of Charlottesville passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. She was born July 17, 1927 in Rush County the daughter of Ora and Cora (Six) Mattix.
A 1945 graduate of Carthage High School, she retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company in 1979 following 32 years of service. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and Communication Workers of America. Mary enjoyed being a homemaker and listening to country music.
She is survived by a brother: John R. Mattix of FL; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: W. Lee Bever; son: Stewart W. Bever; sisters: Annabelle Powers and Helen “Juanita†Boring; brother: Lawrence B. Mattix.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 PM Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown with Reverend Jack Hannum officiating. Friends may call from 1-3 PM Saturday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel prior to the service.
