Mary Kathryn Brown, 72, of Greenfield, went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born July 21, 1937 in Spiceland the daughter of Paul R. and Goldie (Chew) Reece, Sr.
Mary was a member of Faith Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by son: Fred (wife: Lisa) Heuer of Hillsboro; daughters: Kathy Bowling of Chico, CA; Paulette (husband: Gordon) Patrick of Greenfield; sons: Johnny Brown, Jr. of Greenfield; Derek (wife: Karri) Brown of Greenfield; sister: Betty Lou Haynes of Olathe, Kansas; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Johnny P. Brown, Sr.; brothers: Max Reece and Paul Reece, Jr.; son: Anthony Joseph Heuer.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, November 9, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Circle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Sunday, November 8, 2009. Memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
