Mary Alice Franklin

Mary Alice Franklin, 90, of New Castle, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Henry County Hospital following an extended illness. She was born June 7, 1921 in New Castle, a daughter of the late George and Nellie (Williams) Campbell.
A homemaker most of her life, she was a 1939 graduate of New Castle High School.
She is survived by two sisters, Cleo McClain of Greensfork and Anna Mae Antic of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Al” Franklin; two brothers, Omer Campbell and Ronald Campbell; two infant brothers, Charles and Paul.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with the Reverend Jack Hannum officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be given to Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church with envelopes available at the funeral home. You may express a condolence or share a memory of Mary Alice at www.hinsey-brown.com . A step-daughter survives, Karen Blosser.
