Mary A. Goodlin, 89, of Ogden, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born May 18, 1922 in Ogden the daughter of David Alfred and Ruby (Reid) Longwell.

Mary was a member of the Ogden United Methodist where she was an active choir member. She was formerly employed at Walmart in Greenfield. She loved gardening and being outdoors. She enjoyed reading the Bible, crocheting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by a daughter: Patricia Vallee of WA; granddaughter: Lisa Goodlin-Saenz; nieces: Carolyn (husband, Glenn) Stoten of Ogden and Priscilla (husband, Dennis) Shumaker of San Antonio, TX; great nephews: Vince Shumaker of Indianapolis, Phillip Stoten of MO, Tim Howard and Terry Howard of Shirley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Goodlin; 2 stepsons: Robert and John Goodlin; 2 sisters: Catherine Howard and Louise Dean; 3 brothers: John, Charles and Pete Longwell; nephew: Paul Howard.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Ogden United Methodist Church with Pastor Carolyn Stoten officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 to 1 PM prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ogden United Methodist Church 4296 W. Old National Road, Knightstown, IN 46148.
