Mary F. Gross, 90, of New Castle, passed away in her daughter’s home in Ft. Stockton, TX, following an extended illness. She was born March 29, 1927 in Cadwell, GA, a daughter of the late Joel E. and Julia F. (Johnson) Watson.
A homemaker, Mary enjoyed taking care of her family, and making their house a home. She was active member of the First Apostolic Church of New Castle for the past 54 years, where she had also served as a Sunday School teacher.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter Shirley (Vernon) Munson of Ft. Stockton, TX; a son, Randy V. (Judy) Gross of New Castle; four grandchildren, Philip (Michelle) Munson of Phoenix, AZ, Andrew (Christina) Gross of Luther, OK, Hannah Munson of Phoenix, AZ, and Alicia (Anthony) Pulido of Shelbyville; great grandchildren; Ethan, Halie, Nolan, and Ava Gross, all of Luther, OK; Patrick Murphy of Denver, CO; Jayden Munson of Ft. Stockton, TX; Peyton Munson of Phoenix, AZ, Alan Pulido of Shelbyville, and Lincoln Munson of Phoenix, AZ; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Gross in 1997; a sister, Nancy Nelms; two brothers, Dan Watson and L. Franklin Watson.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at First Apostolic Church in New Castle with Rev. John D. Beck Sr. and Pastor Jeff Emmitt officiating.
