Mary Helen Lee, age 62, of New Castle and formerly of Richmond, went to be with our Lord in Heaven, Thursday, March 31, 2011 after an extended illness. She was born October 20, 1948 in Stacy, Virginia to Thomas and Martha (Norman) White.
She attended Boston High School in Boston Indiana and retired from Color Box in Richmond after approximately 20 years of service. She attended Cornerstone Church in New Castle. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and also enjoyed shopping. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was very much a “people person.”
Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Lee of New Castle; children, Todd (wife, Michelle) Lee of Winchester, Scott (wife, Judy) Lee of Richmond, Phillip Lee, Michael Lee, (girlfriend, Tiffany) Lee of Indianapolis, Mark Lee (girlfriend, Danielle) and Preston Lee both of New Castle, Angie (husband, Rob) Stull of Richmond; ten grandchildren, Austin, Chuckie, Gracie, Cody, Amanda, Mark, Dylan, Alexa, Brody, Emily, Jesse and Andrew; her sisters, Arlene White of Richmond, Lois (husband, Chuck) Jewett of Richmond, Norma (husband, Don) Mounts of Richmond, and Nina (husband, Phil) Miles of New Castle; brother, Paul (wife, Marsha) White of Greenfield; several nieces and nephews.
Mary’s family would like to thank all the compassionate caregivers who made her journey on earth more comfortable.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Derrick Lee; two brothers, Edgar and Esau White; and a sister, Christine Jones.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Phil Miles officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at the funeral home and an hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be given to the Henry County Cancer Society, 1909 Walnut Street, New Castle, IN 47362 or the Cornerstone Church, c/o 609 Riley Rd., New Castle, IN 47362 with envelopes available at the funeral home.
