Mary Schaeffer

Mary L. Schaeffer, 78, of Knightstown passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield after an extended illness. She was born August 19, 1930 in North Vernon, IN the daughter of Ralph and Pearl Littell.
She retired after 25 years at Western Electric. A member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post 152, she enjoyed playing cards, bingo and reading. She loved spending time with her family and thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings.
She is survived by two daughters: Barb (husband: Jeff) Gustin of Knightstown; Sue (husband: Paul) Loveall of Carthage; three sons: Gary Schaeffer of Knightstown; Tom (wife: Tina) Schaeffer of Knightstown and John (wife: Shari) Schaeffer of Greenfield; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Jack Hannum officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
