Mary Ellen Ward

Mary Ellen Ward, age 93, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born April 1, 1918 in Henry County, Indiana to the late Willard and Mary Frances (Nugen) Ward.
She retired from Delco Remy in Anderson after many years of service. For many years Mary was a member of DAR, Kennard Historical Society and Henry County Historical Society. She attended Greensboro Friends Church, enjoyed antiquing and attending auctions and was a lifetime resident of Henry County. She loved her farm, on which she was born, and loved farming, nature, and the outdoors.
Survivors include two cousins, Eloise Nunn of Scappoose, OR and Jane Turner of Muncie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sally McColley.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Greensboro Friends Meeting, at the corner of Main and Mill Street. Burial will be in Lewisville Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to the Greensboro Friends Church, P.O.
