Mary Roland White

Mary Roland White, age 84, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Henry County Hospital. She was born March 17, 1924 in Nashville, Arkansas to the late A.T. and Polly (Stephens) Turner.
She was a graduate of Mineral Springs High School in Arkansas. She was owner of the Factory Shoe Outlet in New Castle and the Shoe Stop in Muncie and was a volunteer with Henry County Cerebral Palsy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Castle, and was also a member of the Eastern Star, Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks, Moose and Eagles Lodges.
Survivors include two sons: Chad (wife: Joan) Critser of New Castle and Dennis (wife: Henrietta Moore) Roland of Basking Ridge, NJ; four grandchildren: Rebecca (husband: Bobby) Morelock of Fishers, Chad Critser, Jr. of North Vernon, Timothy and Jeffrey Roland both of Basking Ridge, NJ; six great grandchildren: Jonathon, Payton and Sophia Price of Fishers, Chad Lee III, Ashlee and Precious Critser; a sister: Jenie (husband: Leon) Brock of Little Rock, AR; a brother-in-law: Ruel Daniels of Shreveport, LA.; several nieces and nephews; her best friend: Lois Strauch of New Castle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters; three brothers; three husbands: Charles “Chad†Critser, Claude “Bud†Roland and James R. White.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2008 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Jack Hannum officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2008 at the funeral home.
