Max Dudelston

January 21, 1923 — April 6, 2011

Max H. Dudelston, age 88, of New Castle, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at his residence. He was born January 21, 1923 in Eaton, Indiana to the late Murven and Merl Rose Dudelston.

He retired from Chrysler Corporation as a tool grinder in skilled trades following over 32 years of service. He was a graduate of Eaton High School. Max was a member of Union Local #371, past member of American Legion, Amvets and Veteran of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of North 14th Street Church of God. Max served in the Army Air Force during WWII serving in the South Pacific.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy (husband, Jerry) Stairhime of Auburn, IN; a granddaughter, Angela (husband, Darrin) Kirk of Middletown; grandson, Scott (wife, Brooke) Stairhime of Auburn, IN; four great grandchildren, Macy and Trenton “Moose” Kirk both of Middletown and Gunner and Garrett Stairhime both of Auburn, IN; a sister, Beverly (husband, Eugene) Absher; sisters-in-law, Christine Brown of Sun City West, AZ, Edith New and Jeanne Waddell both of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna R. Dudelston in 2001; his mother-in-law, Nannie New in 2003; father-in-law, Hester New in 1969; sisters, Betty Taylor, Barbara White and Bonnie Withers; brothers, Myran and Malcomb Dudelston; brothers-in-law, Clarence New and Raymond Waddell.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Brother Phil Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
