Maxine Barricks

Maxine Barricks, age 79, of Cadiz, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at The Waters of New Castle. She was born November 17, 1929 in Carter County, Kentucky to the late Price Allen and Mary Flossie Hall.

She was a New Castle resident for over 50 years and was a homemaker and caregiver. Maxine was a member of the Northside Church of God.

Survivors include her children: Chatta S. Padgett of New Castle, Barry V. Barricks of NC, Pam (husband: Mike) Cory of New Castle, Brent Barricks of NC and Bart Barricks of New Castle; grandchildren: Allen Padgett of NC, Chris (wife: Emily) Padgett, Noel (wife: April) Barricks, Chatta Hicks, Charrity (husband: Jimmy) Bolander, Jessicca Boram, and Jenniffer Boram all of New Castle, Felisha Schladweiler, Barricks of New Orleans, Clayton (wife Britany) Barricks of NC; great grandchildren: Jalen and Cody Padgett, Zachary Padgett, Cherish and Chelsea Barricks, Dylan and Dalton Hicks, Lucas Bolander, Kaitlynn Morrow and Kesler Dennis; a sister: Corina (husband: Bob) Thompson; sister-in-law: Patricia Hall; special friends: “The Widows.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband: Woodrow Barricks in 1995; 2 brothers; great grandson: Emitt Boram.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Brother Phillip Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
